The injuries of the hand and the wrist require immediate treatment, which is also a pre-condition for a good and complete recovery. The hand is an extremely delicate part of the body, with the compact and complex anatomy, and very little space where important functional structures are placed. Many cuts, looking unimportant and like a superficial injury, are often connected with injuries of nerves, tendons or wrists because they are very close to the skin surface.

Patient should understand that it is very important to see the specialist as soon as possible after hand/wrist injuries.
Arthritis is disease of the joints. Various forms of arthritis can affect various parts of the body, but the wrist and multiple small joints in the hand are commonly involved.
Dupuytren’s disease is characterised by abnormal thickening of the fascia in the palm and/or fingers.
Wrist is probably one of the most sophisticated joints in the body. If injured or affected by degenerative process, technically demanding operations and specific expertise is required to restore its complicated anatomy.
